GSA Leadership Summit

Posted on: May 20th, 2011

Join us for the 2011 Equality Florida Gay-Straight Alliance Leadership Summit!

Equality Florida’s GSA Network will be hosting their 2nd annual Greater Orlando Gay-Straight Alliance (GSA) Leadership Summit on May 28th from 10am-2pm.

The GSA Leadership Summit program is designed to teach high school students how to organize to defeat homophobia and bullying in their schools. Students will spend time networking with other LGBTQ and allied youth from around Central Florida and building skills critical to organizing on their campus. Workshops include a “Story Of Self” Training modeled after the Obama Campaign, Fundraising 101, Event Planning and Leadership Planning.

The GSA Summit is a perfect place for students and teachers who currently organize a GSA on campus, but it’s also a great opportunity for students considering forming a GSA to come learn skills that will be critical to their success.

This event is totally free! Training materials, a pizza lunch and prizes will be provided.

When: May 28th from 10AM-2PM
