Beginning in 1971, The Center for Drug-Free Living has been providing services to the city of Central Florida. They offer prevention, intervention and treatment to individuals and families coping with substance use and mental health disorders, juvenile delinquency, HIV/AIDS, Hepatitis and other behavioral health issues. They are currently licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families and nationally accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitative Facilities.
The Center is continually working to uphold its mission to “Promote Healthy Responsible Lifestyles.” The results are there, just this last year they served approximately 16,000 individuals. They were able to reach this number by helping people despite age, sex, creed, race or ability to pay. They are clear that “The Center is strongly committed to stopping the cycle of substance abuse and violence within our community in an effort to achieve and maintain healthy, productive lifestyles.”
