“Just for today I will act upon important priorities, seeking and experiencing improvements and one day I will see the compounding results of the day well lived,” was spoke by John Maxwell and remains the guiding principle of The Place of Comfort. Everyday they strive to make Central Florida better by helping individuals and families that are either infected or affected by HIV/AIDS or other life threatening illnesses. The Place of Comfort was established in 2001 and offers a long list of services. That list includes rent/mortgage assistance, food, support groups, HIV testing, a thrift shop, and so much more. By visiting their website one can learn more about how to become a part of their mission, “to provide a broad range of quality, consistent and extensive HIV and community resources, within the context of a comprehensive continuum of care, to a diverse population through a community driven organization.”
