WHO: Zebra Coalition, a non-profit organization whose mission is to foster hope, dignity and self-respect in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Questioning (LGBTQ) youth.
WHAT: The Zebra Coalition will attend Come Out with Pride 2011, Central Florida’s largest gay pride event. The organization, supported by Clermont-based Ama Zulu, will host the Zebra Coalition Village, a designated area where visitors can learn more about the services Zebra Coalition provides including shelter, medical services, education and counseling. The Zebra Coalition Village will feature live zebras, plus the opportunity to win two iPads with the purchase of $5 raffle tickets. Visitors will also be able to purchase Zebra Coalition merchandise including t-shirts, polos, umbrellas, pins, bracelets and hats. Zebra Coalition Village is sponsored by the Orlando Youth Alliance, Joy Metropolitan Community Church, UCF, Stetson, Rollins and GLSEN.
