Should a boy be allowed to join the Girl Scouts?

Girl Scouts of America is reporting an increasing number of inquires from parents of transgendered children. Click the link below to watch a video about a young child from Colorado who was born as a male but feels he is a girl and would like to join the Scouts. Because his parents represented him as a male when applying for membership, the Girl Scouts policy states that he cannot be a part of the organization, though if initially presented as a girl he would have been accepted. This controversial issue will surely need to be addressed soon by the program to set a precedent for future transgendered applicants.
