Orlando, Fla., June 2015 — The Zebra Coalition recently received $15,000 from the Universal Orlando Foundation. The Zebra Coalition will use the funding to support basic needs for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and all youth (LGBT+) in Central Florida.
“We are so grateful for our wonderful partners at the Universal Orlando Foundation for providing us with this grant,” said Dexter Foxworth, Zebra Coalition director. “Support from the Universal Orlando Foundation allows the Zebra Coalition to assist young people with their basic needs throughout Central Florida.”
Funding from the Universal Orlando Foundation will allow Zebra Coalition to assist LGBT+ youth who need assistance with food, medical and transportation.

The Zebra Coalition fosters hope, dignity and self-respect in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and all youth (LGBT+) and provides them an opportunity to grow up in a safe, healthy and supportive environment.
The Zebra Coalition is a network of Central Florida social service providers, government agencies, schools, and colleges and universities that provide a full continuum of services to at-risk LGBT+ youth. The Coalition assists young people facing homelessness; bullying; physical, sexual and drug abuse; and isolation from their families with individualized programs to guide them to recovery and stability.
